I was recommended By Home Depot for routine maintenance on my central air unit.
It's great that Advantage heat and air is backed by Home Depot.
Unfortunately Advantage Heat and Air did not fulfill the appointment window provided to me. 1pm-5pm is a VERY long time to wait. No one from this company bothered to contact me nor come to my house.
I'm a strong believer in communication and transparency. I will copy and paste my post until I get a response from this company.
There's many great Heat & Air companies out there. This isn't one of them.

Mr. Bryant, we apologize for this late reply as we were not notified by YP that we had received this. They are correcting their system so we can now get prompt notifications and reply.When you scheduled your appointment, we notified you that we would come between 1-5pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to set exact times because we don't know how long the job before you will take, which is why we give that window. Our records show that at 4:30pm we called and spoke to your wife to let her know we were still coming as a courtesy call. When the tech was available to come, we were informed you wanted to cancel. We apologize that you ended up being on the late end of the appointment. If you would like to reschedule, we can be sure to make you the first call for the tech. We hope you'll give us another chance to give you the good customer service you deserve and we provide. Please call our office and ask for Ashley and she'll help you. Thank you and we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

I have used Advantage before it changed it's name. I have used them for plumbing and heat and air. They cost a little more than some individuals, but the service is fast and reliable, and I have never had issues with any of their installations.
Well, I had to change my rating. NEVER trust the scheduling. I scheduled the install of a new Heat and Air system, having to wait a week to get it installed the next Monday. When I talked to them later, they inform me the scheduling was never done, and now the next available date is the following Friday. Five more days in 100+ degree weather because someone dropped the ball on a $4,600 job.
I guess if I have a small emergency job, I would use again. Otherwise, I think I may try to find someone that can keep a schedule.

I placed a call @ approximately 08:00 CST. Now I understand that everyone is busy and I except the fact that he didn't call until about 13:30 CST. But this guy didn't have anything but a MAP BOOK, that's right, a MAP BOOK. Get with the technology folks, give your service techs a GPS or thats (Global Positioning Satellite) for all you numb skulls. Anyway, it took the dude like a solid hour to get here, and yes, I had to give verbal directions. Anyway, after he got here he was very knowledgeable about his trade and actually put me at ease when he promptly diagnosed the situation and resolved the issue in a timely manner. I thought I was up against an issue with plumbing leaking inside of the wall and was going to have to spend @ a minimum 1 grand to fix it, this dude could have just started sawing into the wall and ran the bill up thru the roof; but he started small and figured it out (way to go!!). I also appreciated the honesty and friendly service oriented attitude he had. All in all, 4 stars for the knowledge and guys attitude. But I can't give you the last star until they get their stuff together in the office. After a customer calls at 08:00, I would @ minimum give a courtesy call every two hours to update status on where the call stood and for gods sake give each tech a GPS. Constructive criticism guys, you still get a thumbs up!!

I have hired Advantage Service Co. for years to perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical and plumbing. I had a leaky shower diverter and feared the retro shower tile would have to be removed to facilitate the repair. Advantage went the extra mile to obtain the obsolete part and fixed the problem. Many, many thanks to Steve and Jimmy in the plumbing department for the time they spent researching my issue so I could avoid major work and expense.

Adavantage services most of our company's utility needs, electrical, heat & air, plumbing, etc. They are usually onsite and get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. All the service staff have been friendly and knowledgeable.

Poor customer service if you have a problem! They don't make mistakes! But will charge you a service call charge if they do make a mistake! Don't use!!!!

PLUSES: I have hired them several times for plumbing, heating, and A/C services, and they are very good.
MINUSES: They try to sell a yearly contract for a fee for a 10% discount which I don't feel is a enough of a discount nor is good for the customer, because it means a customer feels obligated to keep using them to get their money's worth when there may be someone else cheaper.
